How the rankings and unique stats are built
Influencers Worship is a static, SEO-first directory of Instagram creator lists. Search engines — and you — should be able to tell the difference between a cloned “top 100” intro and a page that actually measured something. This is what we measure, what we estimate, and what we refuse to fake.
1. The ranking itself
Each niche page is a “Top N” list. Order blends audience size, engagement rate and posting consistency. When we have verified public figures for that niche, they are placed first and given a self-hosted thumbnail. That is why a well-known athlete can sit above a larger but unverified filler account.
2. Verified public figures vs directory listings
Verified creators are real people. Names, occupations, countries and (where available) Instagram handles come from Wikidata; photographs are freely licensed Wikimedia Commons files that we download, resize and host ourselves. We never publish private emails for real people — the card points at their public profile.
Additional listings are structured directory rows so a niche still has a usable ranked sample when public-figure coverage is thin. They use monogram avatars, they never get a fake email, and they never get an outbound instagram.com link. Every list prints the split.
3. Unique facts on every list
- Combined and median followers (median is the number you should brief against)
- Average vs median engagement, and the gap versus that niche’s 2026 Instagram midpoint
- Share of followers held by the top three (concentration)
- Nano / micro / mid / macro / mega mix
- Country and language mix
- Planning rate ranges weighted by that mix
- Side-by-side comparison with sibling lists in the same topic
Those numbers are computed at build time from the ranked roster on that URL. Two fitness lists will not share an intro, a median, or a rate band unless the underlying mix is actually the same.
4. Rate ranges
We do not have private rate cards. We apply published 2026 Instagram organic bands (nano feed posts roughly $25–$150, micro $150–$1,500, mid-tier $700–$5,000, macro $4,000–$15,000, mega $15,000–$50,000) then weight them by the list’s tier mix and a niche multiplier (business/finance ~1.55×, fashion ~1.2×, comedy ~0.85×). Reels sit above feed posts. Usage rights are not included — budget +30–50% if you want ads.
5. What we will not do
- We do not sell or facilitate outreach to minors. The teen culture snapshot is observational only.
- We do not claim “500,000+ active creators in 1,500 niches” when the public catalog is 548 ranked lists.
- We do not hotlink Instagram or Commons images.
Frequently asked questions
Do you fabricate Instagram accounts?
Verified public figures are real people with self-hosted photos from Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons. Additional directory listings fill out a niche so the page can show a complete ranked sample. We never invent emails or outbound Instagram links for those fillers, and we label the split on every list.
Where do engagement rates come from?
When we have a measured rate for a public figure we use it. Otherwise we derive a plausible rate from follower tier (nano accounts engage harder than mega accounts) plus a small deterministic jitter so pages stay stable across builds. Industry midpoints used for comparison are public 2026 Instagram benchmark tables, not Meta’s private API.
Are the dollar figures quotes from creators?
No. They are planning ranges from published 2026 Instagram rate bands (nano through mega, feed vs Reel), weighted by the follower-tier mix on that page and adjusted for a niche premium (for example business/finance prices higher than comedy). Always collect a real media kit before you buy.
